LFNano™ for safe drinking water – Drinking water is often treated by screening out the “large” contaminants with a coarse filter then disinfecting to inactivate the bacteria and viruses in the water. That is right, the bacteria and viruses are left in the water after being inactivated by disinfecting. We still do not know the long term effects of disinfectant byproduct, but we do know that physical separation is the best way to treat water. Only osmotic membranes (like NF or RO) can get the levels removal to effectively make the water safe. Nanofiltration (NF) treatment can provide extreme purity without removing more than necessary which often occurs with reverse osmosis (RO) systems. The simplicity of the LFNano™ produces extremely pure water for human consumption at low cost.
Point-of-Use/Entry (POU/E) System – Innovating from its core LFNano™ technology, EconoPure™ was able to apply the engineering concepts to a tiny package creating the world’s first low-cost, no energy, zero waste, point-of-use/entry (POU/E) system.
Covered under LFNano™ US Patent 8,685,252 – Vuong, et al. April 1, 2014 with a separate equipment patent pending, it employs a proprietary “Water Extraction” technique = Zero Waste
- Low pressure/Low recovery (by design)
- “Concentrate” flows through to non-potable uses
- Can be used stand-alone or part of a treatment train
